Gary's Biography

Gary joined the MAP staff in July 2012.  He is a graduate of Western Kentucky University and the Kentucky Institute for Economic Development.  He is a member of the Kentucky Association of Economic Developers.  He serves as a board member of the West Kentucky Workforce Investment Board, Pennyrile Area Development District, Pennyrile Allied Community Services, Greater Muhlenberg County Chamber of Commerce and Co-chairman of the Greenville Tourism Commission.

 

Gary’s forty-six years of work experience includes jobs with the local school system, coal industry, county government and federal government. His broad work background gives him insight that is very helpful with local businesses/industries looking to expand their companies. He also dedicates time to developing relationships with new businesses/industries looking to locate in Muhlenberg County.

Karen's Biography

Karen joined Muhlenberg Alliance for Progress staff in May 2017.  She is a graduate of the University of the Cumberlands and the Kentucky Institute for Economic Development.  She is a member of the Greater Muhlenberg County Chamber of Commerce where she serves on the board of directors and as a chamber ambassador.  Karen is co-chair of the Muhlenberg Work Ready Community Committee and the GED Workgroup.  She is also a member of the Muhlenberg 20/20 Visioning Committee and a 2014 graduate of the Greater Muhlenberg Chamber Leadership Muhlenberg program.

 

Karen’s twenty six years of work experience includes jobs within banking, education and training, and federal government.  Her previous work as a business community liaison gives her an advantage of working with public officials, local officials and agencies, corporations, and industries to help the economic growth of Muhlenberg County.
